Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

NextDent (“NextDent,” “we,” “us”) is a free career-development platform for dental students and early-career dentists. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. Questions: dr.wildeman.dmd@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

• Account details you provide (name, email, password).
• Profile & career data you choose to add (career stage, procedures, pay model, locations, preferences, goals).
• Your activity — production/tracker entries, lesson progress, journal notes, and any photos you upload.
• Basic technical data (device/browser, and aggregate usage analytics) to keep the product working and improve it.

3. How we use it

To provide and personalize the platform, show your progress and recommendations, improve our education and features, communicate with you (e.g., a welcome email and account notices), and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal data.

4. When information is shared

Your profile is private by default. Nothing is shared with employers or third parties unless you explicitly opt in (for example, a future “visible to employers” setting). We use trusted service providers (such as hosting, database, and email delivery) that process data on our behalf under their own security obligations. We may share aggregated, de-identified data that cannot reasonably identify you.

5. Storage & security

Data is protected with row-level security so you can only access your own records. Uploaded photos are kept in a private store and served via expiring signed links. Please do not upload protected health information (PHI) or anything that identifies a patient. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

6. Your choices

You can view and edit everything in your account at any time from inside NextDent.

7. Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account yourself, from inside the app — go to Settings → Delete account. No email or support request is needed.

Deleting your account immediately and permanently removes your profile and intake answers, your journal entries and any photos you uploaded, your production, contract and income records, and your lesson progress. This is irreversible — we cannot restore a deleted account, and we do not keep a copy.

Backups held by our hosting providers may retain residual copies for a short period before they expire on their normal schedule. Where we are required to keep limited records for legal or accounting reasons, we keep only what is required and nothing more.

If you would prefer a copy of your data before deleting, or you have trouble deleting your account, email us at the address above.

8. How long we keep information

We keep your information for as long as your account is open. If you stop using NextDent, your data stays with your account until you delete it. Delete the account and the data goes with it.

9. Eligibility

NextDent is intended for dental students and dental professionals who are 18 or older. It is not directed to children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the product grows. We’ll revise the date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app.
